Creatives

It was a privilege to be invited by photographer Kevin Swift to be part of his ‘Creatives’ project, not least because it includes some incredible portraits of some very well-known creative people, and I feel lucky to be included alongside such auspicious company!

Kevin is a professional freelance photographer, and although based on Ardnamurchan, his work has taken him to different places across the world. His focus as a photographer is on portraiture and the arts.

‘Creatives’ is his ongoing personal project on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and the wider Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands and involves Kevin connecting with and taking photographic portraits of creative people who live and work here. If you know the area at all, you’ll understand how it provides inspiration for artists and musicians and other creative people alike.

I’m generally not that keen on having my photograph taken, but Kevin came along with his camera and took some shots in my studio and of me sketching down on the shore, and I felt quite relaxed about the whole process.

I can’t thank Kevin enough for the opportunity to be involved, and I’m really delighted with the results!
